i have a baby desert eagle .40 that i want to sell.
Question
1. This is my most important question here, how do i tell a real license from a fake? Also is there a way to check it out?
2. Who do i use for collecting money, is there any good companies that are pro gun that i can use that are like Paypal, or just stick to money orders and checks? Of course i know they must clear first.
3. Shipping, here in SC its overnight only, definitely want Insurance added cause you never know, but how do you decide how much shipping is and insurance cost?
i don't plan to sell right away, hopefully in a week or so, that way i get my bearings straight

There is an EZCheck website, the address is listed under the selling help section. You check to make sure the address matches the license, its easy to do.
Get a postal money order for the money.
If you ship it UPS or fedex, shipping will be $50 plus or minus0 -
so when you get a non returned number from EZ check, when you call to verify is it free? also are they M-F or 24/7? 0 -

it's all done online under account on the gb side it directs you to the atf ez check website0 -

yea i understand that, but they list an ATF number for discrepancies0 -
Specify certifed funds in your auction.
If the buyer provides a valid FFL for you to ship to they are NOT going to try to cheat you with a bad check or fake money order for a gun. Remember the FFL dealer will have to verify their identity on the 4473.
Use the "find an FFL" function here at GB to locate an FFL near you that might be willing to ship the gun for you via USPS which is always way cheaper than UPS or FEDEX overnight.0 -
SC has to ship over night, but is it really cheaper there a dealer to ship it vs me shipping. 0 -

But if you take it to the post office to cash it, they can verify it.0 -
If "I" ship a handgun, it's $50 + or -
When I take it to an FFL who charges $20, they can ship it insured USPS for $15 to $20.
Total $40.
Last one cost me $35 total.
Plus there is NO hassle on the other end about receiving it from a private party instead of an FFL.0
