big job done!
well here it is finished!
been done for about a week, but just now had time to get pics.
remember from the first thread, this was pretty much solid rust, crap finish on a broken stock, which someone had tried to BURN checkering into with either a hot nail or soldering iron or something...

dont know what the problem is, lately every pic server i try, the pic goes from a good clear pic on my puter to a blurred mess on the host after upload!
anyone wants a clearer pic ill try to e one to ya

just had to put new timeing chain and gears in, and no one lists a chain tensioner!

i wish i had an original condition pic at all!
bought this one when i was 14 at public auction, did the first work same week..took a rasp to the stock cause i just couldnt stand the damage to it from the so caled "checkering"
last year did the polishing and had it blued after all these years cause i met up with my current mentor. re-did the finish at the same time, from poliurethane to oil
and after a year of practice just did the stock work.
before the first cut
couple closer shots of the work, sorry they got a bit blurred also...
