History repeats itself - for the good
I was doing an appraisal this morning and the homeowner was busy with pricing stuff in her garage for tomorrows "garage sale". When I finished with the house measurements and photo's I "mosied" out into the garage to see if she had any questions of me and to browse around and see what she had for sale.
I spied this M 1934 Beretta .380 ACP and asked if the neighborhood was so dangerous that she needed "heat"? She said that was for tomorrow and that she hadn't priced it yet. OH MY! I'm the 1st one at the yard sale. When I ask what price she is putting on it, she answers $35 for the gun and $5 for the EXTRA BARREL WITH THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER!
I asked if she would accept $75.00 as it really was under priced and she readily accepted. As I turned to secure my find in my car, she told me her friend was bringing another pistol, made by the same company, tomorrow. She said it was named after some kind of cat...I'm thinking a Bobcat or Panther - .25 or .32 cal - something small. I asked if she could call her girlfriend and save it for me and ask her price. She did and the other lady was going to ask $20 for it as it was about 1/2 the size of the one I just bought (you just gotta love some women and their sense of reasoning). I cut a deal for $50 sight unseen and I'll pick it up tomorrow.
Today was a very good day!!

Now report to the local PD 'cause you STOLE them!
Great deals!0 -
I woul say hat you stole them, but you gave her 3 times her asking price, plus your going to double up the other gals asking price. You did good and left the gals pleased in the process.
For that good of a price you could always offer one up as a giveaway[;)]0 -
That's awesome. All I ever find is junky old lamps and way overpriced muzzleloaders! 0 -
