First IPSC match this Sunday
My club holds an IPSC match every month starting in March. So far this year our bays have been full of water and we haven't been able to hold any matches so I assumed that we would't be shooting this weekend. Wrong. Today I found out that there will be a match on Sunday at another club, so I am going. This will be the first IPSC match I have ever shot. So I am all prepared, right? No. I put a compensated barrel on my Glock and haven't had time to work up any loads for it. Sooo between now and Saturday night I have to...
Work Friday Unload my truck Go to a job site and pick up more tools Empty my truck again Help a friend move a saw Work up some loads Run to the range to see which ones work best Load up 400 rounds for the match
Oh, and I haven't done any shooting for 9 months and I have a new Ghost holster that I am still getting used to....
Never let it be said that I am not prepared.

Good luck with all that. I've wanted to join our local range to compete in the IPSC shoots but never seem to have the time. 0 -
Wow, you're going to be busy! Have fun. Let us know how it goes. 0 -
The match is going to be at Marysville, WA. I don't know if any of you might be shooting the match. If so it would be fun to meet ya. 0 -

Around here, you don't have to join the range to shoot in a match, just show up.
Reddot,
Sounds like you got your work cut out for you.

Just go and have fun. My club runs competitions all the time and they basically bend over backwards to make newbees feel welcome. It'll be nice for you if you can make a showing, but probably they'll all just be stoked that you showed up. That's how it is at my club, anyway.0 -
