Another pic of Mrs Rogue in Kuwait

Here is Patsy making a part for a Chinook Helicopter. Some of you may know what machine she's on.(I dont, I'm not a machinist) lol

She'll be home for her mid tour in just over a month. I can't wait!!!

    It's been a while but looks like a vertical milling machine (Bridgeport perhaps). Hang in there ... and God bless to you and your family. Please extend my warmest thanks for her service to our country.

    I've been there. Their main PX is really nice. It's right next to the gym/pool. Their chow hall is awesome, too...had chicken fetuccini alfredo there the first time I at at AJ.

    Is she not permitted to wear a wedding band there? Just wondering what the policy is for active duty, deployed troops.

    Yeah she's allowed but when she's on a machine, it's SOP to take off rings and watches. The thing on her wrist is a "freedom bracelet" or something like that.

    Why would you ask about her wedding band anyway?

    Don would be correct. From the color skeem it looks like a old Cincinnati, but there are many other brands with similar colors.

    Ever seen a wedding band get caught on something and rip the finger off? I've seen several, looks painfull. [;)]

    HELL YEAH she will. There's a chance that she'll be coming home a month early to attend a NCO course (stage 3 BNCOC) at Fort Dix. That's just up the road from here and it'll be nice to have her at least in the States early.

    She'll be released from AD sometime in October or November.

    It's not a vertical mill, it's a universal mill. See the horizontal spindle in the base under the vertical mill head?

    Times sure have changed food-wise. The old 4th Marine Regiment chow hall in Dong Ha, RVN circa 1966, frequently served a piece of bread with peanut butter and jelly, one canteen cup would be filled about two thirds full with chicken noodle soup, with perhaps three or four noodles, and, maybe, a tiny morsel of chicken, if you got lucky. Oh yes, stale saltine crackers were the norm. This, along with a sad tasting lemonade amounted to typical table fare for lunch. A year or two later, officials caught the senior Marines who were peddling our food on the black market for ready cash!
