Neighbors house is burning
My neighbor just up the hill from me has his house burning. Their is nothing left to save, not even the foundation. He was frying some corndogs on the stove and went outside. When he remembered what he was doing, the house was already engulfed. Instead of calling 911, he fought it himself for about 20 minutes. Heck of an expensive corndog.[V]

Bummer!! Just hope he is well insured. 0 -
Don't think he even had insurance. 0 -
Did you call 911 for him? That would've been the neighborly thing to do. I'd also offer him a place to stay until he can find out what his financial situation is. 0 -
I 'spose the corndog was a total loss, too?[:(] 0 -

That's so funny, but so horribly inappropriate! [:D][xx(][:D][xx(][V]0 -
No, I didn't call for him. I was across the road at another neighbor's fishing and saw the smoke. Looked like my house , so the race was on. Neighbor Lady called for them and they (911 dispatcher) told her if she wasn't 100 % sure it was a house, to find out and call back. I got there with the first fire truck and all they sent was a grass fire rig. 0 -
...911 dispatch wanted to know if they were SURE it was a house first???...sounds like VERY poor judgement on the operator's part.
...yeah, the neighborly thing to do would be to offer the guy a place for at least tonight...[;)]

So sorry to hear that. I pray it never happens to me. 0 -
...and this is why I bake or microwave my corndogs. 0 -
Used to see the slogan on the license plate: "Oklahoma is OK" and after my first trip through there I decided it was just barely. [;)][B)]
Too bad for the total loss of anything for anyone.0 -
I/WE LOST A HOME TO FIRE IN '83, IT SUCKS..........
Tell your neighbor he has my sympathy, regardless of how well insured he is/isn't0 -
Man that's sad. [:(] 0 -
Sad news. It's not only the home, it's the irreplaceable contents. [V] 0
