Giveaway: Book Winner -- cubslover --
I've been a radio student of Dave Ramsey and his "Financial Peace University" via the AM radio waves for several years. I'm addicted to his attitude and approach towards saving, investing and living like no one else now so I can live like no one else later.
I've been reading his book "Total Money Makeover" and it's telling me a lot of what I already learned having had an interest in money/Economics since high school. I'm also learning a lot about our culture of "live for the moment". This giveaway is for the book.
If you know someone that needs a real wake-up call or would like to learn more about the pitfalls (predatory lending, buying a car the wrong way, setting up a personal plan or the consequences of failure to do so) just drop your name in a hat. I think I've been doing the right thing for the most part but I still bought the book. It's a fascinating read. It's not heavy reading so I'd recommend it even to high school students or junior high students. I'd like to get this into the hands of a young person--maybe someone who is coming into the real world a few steps behind because of factors beyond his/her control.
Either way, it's up to you. I have just found this book to be so helpful and potentially helpful to others that I have to pass it on.
Drop your name in the hat. I'll draw on Friday morning before work and will announce the winner here. I'll place the order for shipment Friday night (provided that Verizon's unreliable internet connection is up and running).
