Only two days of rifle season for elk this year...

I hope the Man upstairs grants me some favor! If you are an archery hunter, you only get a 6 day rifle season for elk and out of those 6 days, I'm only going to have a day and a half (Sat, and Sunday) to hunt. I hope I get one. We could sure use the meat! The elk are acting funny this year...I'm not sure what the deal is, but they are lower than they should be and they are shutting up as soon as you start trying to call them in.

    Good luck to you ECC. Bull hunt, or cow?

    At least you get to hunt Elk this year, once again, I didn't get drawn, but I do start my buck hunt next Friday.[;)]

    good luck ECC. I love hunting elk in good old Idaho wish I would have bought a lifetime licence before I moved.

    At least you get to pick up the rifle and go out after bow season.
    Here in the land of liberals, it's either-or.
    You can choose to hunt modern firearm for deer and archery for elk (or vise versa) but once you've made your choice the other seasons are closed to you.
    I think the rifle season for elk is only like 4 days or something.
