anybody use craigs list ?

i put some surplus items on there recently .i got these strange replies like this -

Thanks for your reply concerning my inquiry,am quite comfortable with the condition of the item since i won't be making any repairs on it,i will like to offer you $150,Please provide your full Name,Address and your Phone number for payment.I am paying by Money Order. It will take few days for payment to get to you. As perpick-up, I will make arrangement for the pick-up after payment has been received by you.I hope it is in good condition,kindly reply with your name,phone # and mailing address where payment will be sent.I will let you know how i intend to pick it up.

Note:
As soon as you have your money in hand we can talk about the picking up of the item ok.I would like you to take the posting off craigslist today.

always want to pay by money order ,more then asking price,and remove item now .

i find these guys strange but cant figure there angle .unless they plan on doing a driveby and see if i leave the stuff on the lawn .
did i mention poor grammer ?
what do you guys think ?

    I've always been taught that if you have to ask, its a scam.

    Its usually a scam. Tip offs their grammer stinks. Also if you receive a money order or any other check that is larger than the asking price they will ask you to wire the difference back to them, then you get stuck with the check when it comes back as a counterfeit.

    well i figured that .i dont reply to these fools ....
    still bugs me .well i did reply-

    "that it will be a cash deal and ill remove the item from craigs while your leaving with it ,if thats ok with you ."

    thought that would fry there azz.

    I advertised on the Craigs list once, all I got was dumb calls like, if you really want to sell that call this number
    , not one reply from anyone else.

    You gave the same reply that I would have.
    Well, maybe you were a bit nicer than I would have been.

    one of the first items i put on was a set of wheels of my old ram truck (97). guy emailed for contact info with in an hour .after i emailed him my phone number he was at my place in 20 minutes with cash .

    wish they all went that way ...........

    I sold my B2000 on there a few weeks ago for $450. I had to wade through a few money-order scammers. There were a few low-ball offers, which is fine, and I received some good advice from some of the low offerers. If I sell any guns in the future I'll probly use GB.

    There are a few freaks out there, but for the most part honest people looking to connect. The Job section is mostly scams though.

    I bought a fantastic Gary Fischer Tassajara Mountain bike off Craig's list and only paid about half of its value and got to know a nice person in the deal.
