My new old gun, for the H&R geeks
Was browsing at Cabelas the other day and saw a very, very nice H&R 926 .38 S&W breaktop. I decided to buy it if it was still there come payday, and it was, so I did[:D]. I've got a thing for H&Rs. Still searching high-and-low for an Ultra .32 H&R Magnum break-top (last handgun they produced, or so I've heard).
Anyway, this baby is cherry. Light turn ring on the cylinder. That's it. If it's ever had a round downbore, I'll eat my hat[xx(]. $125. I wish I had a digital camera to show it off. It's probably been sitting in someone's sock drawer for the last 25 years.
Ammo is a little pricey, but good incentive to get a small press eventually.

Good show. I like them H&Rs too. My favorite is the Model 999 .22LR Sportsman. The first gun I ever owned is a H&R Topper M48 .410 shotgun. The wife's favorite is the 922 .22LR revolver. 0 -
I rather like my H&R 922 even though reloading is a bit funky! 0
