Usually 40-50 on normal weeks. Around any holiday we get busier and put in a few more hours, but in slow times we put in as little as 35 some weeks(still get payed for 40 though[^]).

    168.

    I'm a Marine, 24/7. That's what they tell me.

Of course that means I only make about 6 bucks an hour.

Most weeks I will work 40, get paid for 40, then on a busy week I will work 50-55 and get paid for 40.

Then there are the in-between weeks, when there isn't much to do, and I work maybe 25-30 and get paid 40.

It's hard to calculate the actual work content of my day and express it in hours, but being retired is a full time job![8D]

Put in 90+ non-stop for 5 years, burned myself out and moved to small town. I miss the money but it is nice to have a family.

Standard shift most of the year is 48hrs, but then I get 5 days off. Quite often I will pull 12-24hr (1/2 or full shift) of extra OT if there is an open shift.

In the summer shifts are 15hr/day for about 14 days at a time, so 105hrs/week.

60 to over 120, depending on the season, until I retired. I did that for nearly 35 years. Some weeks out of the year it was at least 18 hours per day, seven days a week, with sometimes a straight through run from Friday morning until Sunday evening. That only happened once or twice a year though, and only when I was younger - pre 45. Ask cowdoc and Captplaid, they'll understand the situation.

Since I retired, I'm down to about 25 to 80, depending on the season.

During the 25 hour season, there may be a couple days or so in a row that I really don't do much of anything. I love being retired.[:)]

Not too many people can make it financially on 40 hours worth of pay.
