GunSocks
I just bought a couple to see how well they do. Anyone else use them? Everyone I've talked to swears by them.

While I try not to swear in front of my gun socks, I have been known to inadvertently mismatch plaid and stripes.
Even given this, they still keep my feet warm.

If you use them without the gunshoes, you'll wear them out prematurely. 0 -
For guns that I never shoot or valuable ones I store them in borestores gun socks..impregnated w/silcone..Loko[8D] 0 -
Sell or give one out with every gun I blue.

Have used the ones with silicone for several years now with no problem. I like 'em. Safe is full, and hate to put the "extra" guns in regular old cases that don't breath to well.
BTW Cubs...did your book come in???0 -

Had a hard time ordering them.. as it seems people are afraid of exporting something with the word "gun" on it.
But has three packs of 6 from Cabelas and bought one while overthere in '04.
They do allright.
Uses them mostly for storage - but an occational gun in hand demands far less interest, when it's in a gunsock.
Also - they work allright in carry-cases too - when you have two guns in one case. Keeps them from scratching eachoder.
Never uses them on a wet/moist gun.0 -

A damp soft case was put in my safe(I wont mention by who).Surface rust and mildew on all the guns that were not in socks.You can get them impregnated with silicone and they are inexpensive.0 -
I use them for handguns and rifles. Small price to pay for the added protection. I get mine w/silicone from Sportsmansguide.

I don't see the point. I like the idea mind you but for a cheap can of spray silicone and 5 minutes on a sewing machine with some scrap cloth you can make your own for basically free; one can of silicone treats more socks than I've made yet and I've made 30 or 40. 0 -
