    The Bible says, "It is appointed to a man once to die, then the judgement". But if The Bible is false, like P & T say it is, then you have nothing to worry about. But if they are wrong[}:)]

    I don't agree with everything P&T have done, but this episode (and their gun control episode) were spot-on.

    The Bible is not to be taken as a work of historical truth - most anyone with a brain can see that.

    the bibles content consist of only a small amount of history, the rest is prophecy of what is to come. rembering this you can see what is written happen before your very eyes[;)]

    how about the Nostradomus prophecies... it's said that you can read into anything, and that's why they appear to be coming true. perhaps you get the same effect with prophecies stated in the bible?

    There is no reason for Christians to be upset about this. It's to be expected according His very word. Those two guys are blind and filled with hate. Lets just relize this and pray for them. After all Christ loves them and died for them too.

    I was raised Catholic, but my rational mind can not accept the literal interpretation of the bible. I haven't been able to since I was 10 or 12. It's a book of stories. I'm going to burn in hell.

    I went to Catholic schools my entire life and feel the same way. Organized religion might be the end of it all. The "my god is the only god" mentality has started just about every war in history. Its funny how the bible beaters proclaim that if you dont attend church every sunday you will go to hell. I keep my religion to myself, so should everyone else. Why does someone else care what I believe? But they do. You know who you are. Now certain sectors of the muslim religion are teaching their children that you must learn to die for your beliefs and that non believers should die. All in the name of religion. Organized religion is one of the biggest rackets in this world. Churches around here make more money than some of the fortune 500 companies.

    Penn and Teller are NOT what I would classify as liberals. If anything, they're what I would classify as libertarians.

    You should see their views on gun control.

    God loves all of you guys. I know this because He loves me. And if He could forgive me, He could forgive anybody. You can't earn your way to heaven by being good or going to church. No one in the world is good enough to deserve God's mercy. God's forgiveness is a free gift.

    Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.[:)]

    John 3:16-17 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.[:)]

    Thats nice, but that doesn't really go far in refuting Penn and Teller's argument.

    I was a hyper-religious alter boy for years--apparently the only one who wasn't molested and who can't grab a share of the bucks the church is handing out now. Even when I was young,though,I started to think the scientific explanations were a lot more rational and easier to accept, but my faith kept me from pursuing that line of thought too far. When I left home and associated with intelligent people who openly questioned the religious outlook, it took very little time to conclude that they were just stories.
