This bunn is about 8 years old. Hey, Sorry I missed ya down south but the woman had every minute of my vacation planned out. I even had to sip tea at noon.[xx(]0 -
When I was a very young man their was a woman down the street that made the absolute best coffee..She did it with one of those old fashioned stovetop perculators.... I have never been able to match that taste with any coffee maker but Bunn comes the closest...not real close but closer than the rest. And believe me I've sent a few buck on this...
There are a couple of great coffee making sites on the net... Google it... The tips there really helped me make a better than bearable cup of coffee I highly recommend you check them out!!!!!0 -
Percolator. Takes a few batches to get it right, but once you do, it's great !! You can even make good coffee when you're wilderness camping.

Get one with a timer. That way when you get up coffee is waiting for you.

Im over on Ebay lookin at them now and I like the refurbed commercial ones. I can hook up a water line like an ice maker, put an in-line filter on and never have to walk over to the sink again. 0 -

Not a problem. I know how it can be with wives! That is why I do not have one anymore![:o)][;)][:D]0 -
My parents gave me their wedding present about 3 or 4 years ago. It was around 30 years old. It was a West Bend percolating coffee maker and it still ran like a champ. Unfortunately I forgot it in Iowa when I moved away in 2005. 0 -
GOOD question,,,,Nunn will be buying me a new one tomorrow,,,,with a timer on it..
He washed mine today and the clock wont work now.Now this isnt a problem for him because I get up before he does so he gets his coffee after I get mine(which by the way I bring to him after I wake him up)
I like my coffee to be there waiting on me in the morning I dont want to wait on it.....[;)][;)]0 -
Buy a "French Press" coffee maker....It will brew the best cup of joe..Also...Montana Coffee Traders...makes the best coffee..! 0 -
My percolator is a very old - 1930s - cast aluminum one. It belonged to my Grandma, went to my Mom, and thence to me.
I'm a lucky guy.

I got on to tell you how amazed I am at seeing over 20 answers to this simple question. Unfortunately I'm always amazed, and I refuse to answer, because somehow, sometime soon, this will turn into a crap heap that will have to be poofed..[:D][:D] 0 -
