Binoculars?
Ive always wanted a good pair of binoculars, unfortunantly there price has always managed to keep stuck on the Tasco 10X50 or there about. I would like to buy a poor boys pair of good binoculars if there is such thing. Anyone got any recommendations?

What is your budget? Got $400, that will Get you an Eagle Optics Platinum Ranger (roof prisms) which will compare very well to binos at twice that price. Under that price range stay with Porro prisms and you will get more for your money 0 -

My wife is an avid bird watcher and also swears by Leica. The nuts (I mean the wonderful people [:)]) who stare at birds (when they could be in the kitchen cooking [}:)]) do this for hours on end and if you don't have top quality glass you'll end up with eye strain and a headache. A top quality pair of binos will last you a lifetime so I advise looking at the top end glasses, you'll be money head in the long run.0 -
I just bought a pair of Leupold Cascade 10x42's. Love them. They are clear as anything. I went to Cabela's and had the salesman pull about 10 pair to look thru. They were @ $300. 0 -
