Anyone ever have an epiphany?

v35 - thank you for using a very nice word.
I shall try to put it into one of my posts, soon.
I am still looking for a thread where I can legitimately use "epiphany" - another very nice word.

From a social work paper I wrote:
While the culture of my childhood was very nurturing, the downside was a lack of diversity. The positive values I learned were not always practiced; prejudice and negative stereotypes were also a part of my early experience. I did not have a personal conversation with a person of another race until I was sixteen. My experiences at Wabash College and in the United States Marine Corps did much to broaden my horizons in terms of diversity. In both situations I met and interacted with people from cultures very different from my own. When I was on field operations in the Republic of Korea I went to town to find a friend who had a local girlfriend; as I entered her home, her son was asking for food. She made him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and when she handed it to him he smiled in sheer joy. That moment was a great epiphany. The phrase "All men are created equal" finally became personally real to me. The joy that child felt when his mother handed him the sandwich, was an experience that could apply to anyone. I realized that we're all the same as human beings, period.

Never had an epiphany, but I got a little melancholy once. They are not as large as regular collies, but they are very intelligent. 0 -

I just had an epiphany! I was absolutely thrilled I didn't have to read the entire paper.
Henry- I am being an absolute wise-arse, and I'm joking.0 -
my epiphany came in a brilliant flash.....twas not a socially acceptable rash.....probably got it from a toilet i was told.....really from being so daring & bold.....at an early age in the brush & wood.....how well i remember an old chevy hood................. 0 -
Not to demean your experience, but if you want a real epiphany, go to South America, maybe Ecuador or Peru, and experience the difference between the rich and poor down there. Then you will truly understand that there are no "poor" people here in the USA. I'm sure Africa is overall much worse, but the diversity of existence is much more pronounce in South America. When you get back, be sure to kiss the ground and thank God you were born an American.

I had an Epiphany once but it got lousy mileage so I traded it for a Revelation. [:D] 0 -

I've had three in my life. One at age 19 (all life shares a common begining), another at age 30 (birth of my son/immortality because of), and the last one at age 45 (simple pleasures).
Lasting impressions every one.[;)]0 -
All the time!! But then I find I was wrong.[;)] 0 -
I had several epiphany's when I was younger right shortly after consuming Lysergic acid diethylamide.
I have for the most part forgoten all that they meant, but every know and again they all come rushing back at me like a ton of bricks and I remember solving and expounding on unanswerable questions and then I am back about my daily business.
I am not sure if that is classified as an epiphony?0 -
Had a girlfriend from San Francisco.
She could have multiple epiphanies, all night long.
Was she ever a wild one.
