Speaking of bikes!
A buddy who works with me found out one of the engineers at work had an old Yamaha XS1100 Special that had been sitting for over 15 years. (not a typo, he had not cranked it up in over 15 years!)
He bought it for $500 late last year and started fixing it up! It's now running (like a turpentined alley cat) and will get many more than the current 21,000 miles it has on it now.

I'll race him with my GS1000, bring it on. You got to love the old Jap bikes, especially if they're 1000s or bigger. They're still a force to be reckoned with even today. 0 -

Your bike, his bike, and a guy at work that has a Honda CB1000 are what I call street bikes! I still love that style and they just look the way a motorcycle is supposed to look to me![;)]0 -

Yep, that picture was taken at his brothers house where he did the restoration. He lives in an apartment and needed his brothers garage to work through the winter.
The Z is one his brother bought to restore a few years ago, and hasn't turned a wrench on it yet. Also has a 1954 Harley in the garage that he hasn't touched and an old Jag.[:)]0
