Where does Rudy Guiliani stand on gun control?
Was curious to know where Rudy stands on this very important issue that affects all shooters?
Don't follow politics or politicians too closely but after what just happenend in VA. and all the Dems seemed poised to strike on our beloved guns etc.I just would like to hearfrom some of you more informed politically informed folks about this.
I'm gonna vote in '08,just want to make damn sure I cast it for the right one.

Rudy is pro-gun control.....
Of course he gives the usual statements "I suppport the 2nd Ammendment", ect.....0 -
He is a gun grabber. He just doesn't like to talk about it, if you watched the debates the other night he just ignored that part when he was asked. 0 -
He claims to be pro-gun but as a New York City Mayor supported stiff gun control measures. He has said recently that he supports the second amendment but is against assualt weapons.
Problem is that almost everything is on his list of assualt weapons. He would be in favor of you keeping your hunting rifles, bolt or lever action and your shotguns. No semi-autos on his watch!
In NYC he supported a policy of "No Guns Allowed![:0][:0]
McCain and Romney may be a bit more accomodating to gun owners but not much.0 -
I think he is very similiar to Mit Romney. "I support the Second Ammendment, but I also support an AWB."
I can relate to this stand. For example,
I support a womans right to chose, but I also support a ban on abortion!0 -

IMO:
Guiliani is very anti-gun (and is now lying about it).
Romney is very anti-gun (and is now lying about).
McCain is moderately anti-gun.
Huckabee is very pro-gun (actually goes hunting, has a concealed carry permit and says all citizens should have one, and as governor never supported any gun control).
Gingrich is mildly pro-gun (never actively pursued gun control but wasn't a strong voice against it, either).
Thompson says he supports the 2nd Amendment and his voting record in the Senate is good.
Right now most analysts see gun control as a losing issue so not even the Dems are crowing for more... right now.0 -

Once again,.......I agree with Rack on this. I knew very little about this guy, until the debates. I was wanting to hear terrific things from him,........he made a total "jackass" out of himself, and made him look like a "conspiracy theorist", at least to me.
I don't care what any of his supporters say,........WE were not the cause of 9/11! He doesn't have a prayer anyway,......but, I may have thrown away my vote on principle, to vote for him,.......not now.
I personally wish there was a way for Tom Tancredo, to become a "viable" candidate. That is where my vote would go,...........or , gee,.....I could vote for the winning side, and Hitlery. NOT[}:)]0 -

Much of the Middle East hates us because we've been sticking our noses in their business for the past 50 years. I believe that had our government not aided in the destruction of democracy in Iran in 1953, there would have been no 1979 Islamic Revolution and no embassy hostage-taking and the Middle East would be far different today.0 -

Yes, I know he is an isolationist. That did not work in the 1930s and it sure won't work now. As for 20-20 hindsight in the history of the Middle East, it is all water under the bridge now. Even if we would pull ALL of our troops out of every country around the world, the Islamic terrorists will still want to kill us. They have been raising them up for 40 years now with that mindset and us becoming isolationists will not stop them. Their end goal is the destruction of the west and the re-installment of a fundamentalist Caliphate. Turkey has been holding protests lately with hundreds of thousands of citizens protesting the encroachment of Sharia. They want to stay secular. If the US pulls back from the world, the entire Middle East will erupt into a regional war along religious/secular lines and the Islamists will thus pull Israel into it. And we will then go right back in to defend Israel and will be in the middle of a major regional conflict in the Middle East.0 -

I have supported Ron Paul for years. After his explanation of 911 in the debate, I wouldn't vote for him as dog catcher.[:(!]0
