Marylanders watch out... Weapon Ban!

This is a bill in the MD state senate. Without our friend Bob Ehrlich, the best governer MD has ever had, garbage bills like this are starting to pop up.

  They've listed the Mossberg 500 as an "assault weapon" if it has a particular type of stock.

  maryland sucks.
  
  Damn shame too, the Beretta factory and the Benelli factory are both located in Maryland. They can't even sell some of their handguns here.

  Hey, you and I both know that if it looks nasty, it must be more dangerous. After all, the folding stock on a shotgun (whoops, I mean assault shotgun) allows the shooter to spray bullets everywhere, probably at a rate of a few thousand rounds per second. Plus, these Mossbergs with a special stock only fire cop-killer bullets.
  
  These guns have no sporting purpose. Gun banners have been telling us time and time again that they don't want to restrict my right to go duck hunting.
  
  Oh well, I don't have a Mossberg 500, so I guess the ban is okay. [xx(]

  Looks as if they've just copied the CA definitions of "assault weapon."
