Hypothetical re: lower water levels
Supposed you own waterfront property. Then suppose the water level drops a foot or so and now your property extends out another 100 feet from where it was. Would all that "new" land belong to you?

No, your property line is quite a ways back from the edge of the water to begin with. Beyond that line it belongs to the Corp of Engineers. Generally, that is, some situations may vary. 0 -

On a private lake, yes, your property extends to the water line. On a Corps of Engineers lake, all of the beach is own by the Corps, so no. On a public or municipal lake, the laws vary from lake to lake. 0
