jgreen made his comment anonymously on THIS board (highly unlikely that his comment will be national news). Coulter made hers in front of the Republican base just after a speech by a major Republican candidate.
See the difference?0 -
Someone has to point me to a link for Maher's statement then, becuase this was the quote I was pointed to by some article.
As far as Dean goes, noone has yet to point me to his statement, but I'll try to find a link.
As far Heff's attaching himself to the quote, as the saying goes, you lay down with dogs, you get fleas.
I will say, though, that Heff has argued his point better than most attorneys that I deal with.0 -
Okay Mr. Green. I was hoping for more from you as we have all fallen to the level you did at some time or another, but I guess you just can't get there. In the future, remember it's hypocritical to call someone names for calling others names. You exhibited the same behavior you accused her of, and that's just wrong.
Oh well. That's just the way it is sometimes. Do as I say not as I do.
Are you sure you're not in politics?[}:)]0 -
If you do a Google search on "Maher Cheney" this is the first one up.
I still maintain the old "John Doe did it too" defense is only valid for Democrats and Lawyers. What Maher said or didn't say has nothing to do with what Coulter said or didn't say. She is not running for any public office that I know of, and she said what she said for whatever reasons she had. I believe she accomplished exactly what she intended to.
I used to like Maher because he used to be funny. I stopped watching him when he stopped being funny and started being malicious and rude. Coulter is not a comedian, but I thought her remarks were funny. Crude but funny.

Bill Maher Backs Off Cheney Death Wish
Bill Maher is backing away from his comments that it would be better if Vice President Dick Cheney were dead, saying "I don't wish him dead."
The political humorist stirred up controversy on his HBO show "Real Time" while discussing a failed assassination attempt on Cheney and comments on the Huffington Post Web site regarding readers' disappointment that Cheney had not been killed.
Now on that site, Maher writes: "On Saturday, the Web site NewsBusters.org posted a story under the headline `Bill Maher Sorry the Assassination Attempt on Dick Cheney Failed.'
"There's just one problem: As a fair reading of the show's transcript makes clear, I never said those words...
"Don't get me wrong: I've never joined the Dick Cheney Fan Club. But what I said Friday - and what I believe - is that the Vice President has presided over a bungled execution of a war in which thousands of our bravest continue to die. And I believe that were he not in power, our troops would likely come home sooner. But I don't wish him dead."
What Maher did say on his show is: "I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn't be dying needlessly tomorrow ... I'm just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That's a fact."
Some critics aren't buying into Maher's attempt to play down the controversy.
"Bill Maher is a vile and repugnant human being," L. Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center, told the New York Post.
"Anyone who wishes for the death of the Vice President in a time of war is, at best, a very sick puppy."0 -
jgreen...if you want to call Ann Coulter Man Coultier...in a very strange way I understand your need to do so. In point of fact she has more in the way cajones than virtually any male Democrat. So I can understand a male Democrat like yourself looking at her and rather envying her manhood.
Now as to me writing Democrap...I never did....I wrote democrap. To me a democrap is a far left leaning socialist scum bucket who seeks to unfairly take from the contributing members of this nation and redistribute the wealth of our nation to blood and money sucking individuals who do nothing but demand more and more for their politically correct and outlandishly absurd ideas which include force feeding their agenda up everyone else's anal opening. Now if that describes a Democrat to you than I guess the words democrap and Democrat are in fact the same. You'll have to be the judge of that. I have noticed over the years that you do proudly wave the Democrat banner at every opportunity.
Ann Coulter called a "friend" a "friend" plain and simple. To many members of our society when a person chooses to put his appendage in the rectum of another of the same sex...that qualifies them as a "friend". When a female straps on a plastic appendage in order to provide her female companion sexual gratification that qualifies her to many as a "friend". It was the "friend" themselves who conceived the idea of corrupting the wonderful word "gay" to be their secret code for "friendship". Many of us refuse to acknowledge their "gayness" and instead use the word that for so many years marked them as "friends". And in all fairness jgreen have you never used the word "friend". Have a wonderful democrap or Democrat day, whichever you prefer. Beach0 -
This sure is a nice friendly place where friends are free to discuss their differences in a friendly manner. Beachmaster has kindly pointed out that while the concept of Repooplicanism lives on in some people's minds, the reality of politics today is that there is no real difference between the two parties since both want to take everyone's money and shove their respective agendas somewhere. Some might take issue with the male fantasy of the females and their strap-ons, but, whatever, cause, like Ann says, "It's just a joke". And, we certainly don't want to disagree with the beautiful and voluptuous Annie when it comes to two of the right's favorite activities; gay-bashing and personal attacks on anyone who sees things differently. Oh, wait, that's what the democraps do. 0 -

[:D][:D]Very good![:D][:D] Beach has scored some X-rings!!0 -
Beachmaster, come on. That's the lamest thing I've read in a long time.
If all we need to do is come up with some explanation of our comments as something other than what they clearly are, then here's my "Man coultier" definition:
"Man Coultier is a woman who attempts to look as fashionable and as femminine as possible, but being of ordinary looks, and of poor manners and full of baseless hatred for an imaginary group of persons, attempts to curry favor and/or titilate and/or gain entry or acceptance into a social group typically made up of insecure men, by telling them that their prejudices are perfectly valid and acceptable, using language typically used by those same men amongst themselves."
So you see, when I said "Man Coultier", if you took it to describe "Ann Coultier", then I guess the terms are the same.0 -
jgreen....your definititon of Man Coultier is a brilliant and accurate discription of Hillary Clinton or even Barbra Streisand. I'll have to remember it...especially the part about currying favor with social groups of insecure men. For many years I have felt that many Democrats and all democraps were insecure. While I doubt that your words bring confirmation of this; there is little doubt in my mind that that is to whom Hillary is playing. My thanks, Beach 0 -
There is no more insecure group of men on the planet than the far right wing with their constant macho posturing, idolization of fraudulent war movie John Wayne Ronald Reagan "heroes", blind following of the "Bring It On" trust fund phoney rancher Bush and demonization of everyone and everything not white, heterosexual or "christian". Ann Coulter is the face of the Republican party, like her or not. 0 -

Green, admit it or not, you were called out and hammered. You can deny it for your own pride, but you did it, were caught, started playing symantics and refuse to admit it. Sounds kind of like your old buddy Bill, doesn't it?[}:)]0
