She was just on the news talking about alternative energy. She said she wants to TAKE the oil companies' profits and use them to develop alternatives. TAKE them!

    Well sure! Exxon-Mobil, just YESTERDAY, announced the largest profit of any American corporation in the history of the country. So, the right thing to do is to punish them.

    I'm all for this. After all, if I'm not earning $85 billion in profits, then by golly no one else should, either!

    the funny thing is the left is critizing them for making a record profit...however, i guess the left forgot to realize that exxon just PAID a record amount in TAXES to the government because of their record profit, lol

    What about all those old retired people that rely on investments for their income? How many of them have investments in the oil companies? What about the 401(k)'s of the employees? Yes, big companies are all evil. First they're not paying their employees enough and now they're evil for turning a profit that will benefit employee profit-sharing and 401(k)'s that inevitably have some investment back into the company.

    Why don't we just nationalize oil companies, Wendy's, KFC, etc. Then spread all the profit (except the goverment's take) evenly to all the masses. Wait a minute ... someone tried this in eastern europe once.

    Well, you're on-base there.

    Wendy's, KFC and Mickey-Dees are all oil companies.

    I disagree. I am sure Hillary is not going to redistribute her wealth. It is the old "This is what needs to be done to others, but not to me" mongolian logic.

    A window into the soul of the person. Yet many, even some here, will vote for her if she is the democratic nominee just because they will vote the party line.

    I doubt anyone will run in 2008 who will have my support, and once again, I'll find myself voting "against" someone rather than "for" someone. It makes me sick to think about it.[xx(]
