I'm curious as to what you'd do in this situation. My next door neighbor rents his house and today he had a chimney fire. The landlord came by and told him not to use this chimney again until he had it replaced (old masonary chimney in bad shape). The problem is, the house has no other heat source. What would you, as a landlord, do in this situation.

I'm going to offer to let him borrow a couple of our electric space heaters...but it seems to me like the landlord should do something about it.


Update...the fire dept condemned the house b/c of bad wiring...so now he's going to stay in a hotel across the street.

    I have a Subaru, Sig.

    I decided to go "green" with it.

    Since I put the used McDonalds fryer oil in it, it has not contributed one iota to polluting the atmosphere.

    We'll see how It does, if I can ever start it again.
