Meet Shorty

Shorty was at the animal shelter and scheduled to be put down due to heart worms. Sandy would have none of it. So, $600 later, he is home with her and running the show around here.

The other dogs give him a wide road or he will put them in their place. Jake is getting his belly full of it, and I'm expecting a showdown any day now.

You see he's giving me the stink eye because I dared to get close to he and Sandy. He's giving me that, "I'm gonna' hurt ya'" look.

    600 from the shelter?....

    Cute dog...

    Did you have to take it to the vet for treatment? or is that the shelters adoption fee? or their treatment fee?

    It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight ing the dog. I'd have spent the money on him in a heart beat. Unfortunately, I'm the only dog that my wife allows in the house.[8D]

    Ya did good Danny, heartworm is a bad way for a dog to go, start slipping him tacos, before you know it he will be giving Sandy the real "stink eye"[:D]

    Because he was sick and going to be distroyed, there was no "adoption" fee as long as I had him treated for heart worms and castrated. He was kept at the vet for two weeks while being treated, and the total bill was $636.15. He was young and otherwise healthy, and is only agressive when he is in Sandy's lap. Otherwise, he will run up to me and wag his tail and "love up" on everyone. He's a very sweet dog.

    Red eye is from the camera flash, but yes, he's really a dog.
