Winchester 1300 Defender
I was just scratching my head and realized that I have never purchased a dedicated home defense shotgun. I live in apartment so this would probably be a good alternative to my SIG P-220. I've never owned or fired a Winchester shotgun but I was thinking about a Winchester 1300 Defender. A fixed shoulder stock is a must for me. Has anyone ever owned/fired the Defender extensively?

Can anyone provide me with a close-up picture of a Winchester 1300 Defender? After I removed the sidesaddle to install a top folding stock I tried to replace the hex-head bolt that had been holding the sidesaddle on but was unable to re-tighten it. It just wouldn't tighten. My question is did this gun come with this bolt originally or is there a pin or a different type bolt that should be installed? I believe the trigger guard has too much play as a result of this. Here you go. Mine has a pin thru the receiver.

They come from the factory equipped with a non-threaded pin that's held in by a small detent. The bolt is a longer overall length due to the extra width caused by the sidesaddle.
Check with www.gunpartscorp.com for a replacement.0
