Its usually the follower of the mag....maybe the spring is weak and not pressing up enough on the follower to hold it open.

...What LF said. Wow ([:D]), she even mentioned what I was thinking about a "weak" spring. Try changing the follower and the spring, should help...[;)]

I'm ordering some springs and followers for the same reason.
Hope your problem is as easy to fix.

Could be a worn or broken bolt catch. If you can't get the bolt stop to lock the bolt by holding it down when there is NOT a magazine in the gun then it is not a magazine problem.

Check the welds on the spine also.
I had one that had an indent that prevented the follower to rise all the way to the top.

../the bolt will no longer hold open after the last round. It wont hold open at all i cant even hold down the button and get it to hold? This indicates magazines aren't the problem, it's the bolt catch.

Open the upper/lower receivers and inspect the catch. It's a simple lever and spring setup, with the spring holding it down to allow the bolt to move freely.

Does the catch move at all when you press the lower portion? If so, when fully pressed does it's upper portion extend far enough up to engage the bolt in the rearward position?

Possibly either an out of spec and seized catch, a burr keeping it from moving freely or a broken catch.
