Do I bother you?
Okay lets all get on the same page.
I got an e-mail from a person I have never met, nor will ever meet. She says that I spend to much time "chatting" about my Ehler-Danlos syndrome. (EDS) I was told the "most people" do not want to hear about it, makes then feel "bad". (the person I am speaking of is not from this forum)
Now as for myself if I have bothered anyone I am sorry, I can see how it could/would do that. As for myself and my family it is the big problem for all of us. For any who dont know my Daughter has EDS also, should anyone ask I will tell them what she goes through on a day to day basis. It is not that I am looking for some sort of sympathy, I am PROUD of how she is able to deal with a hard life that will just get worse. Come on she is 8 and has been dealing with this better than I do most of the time. She has been in and out of the hospital since she was 14 months old.
My son, only a few of you know it but he is adopted, I have raised him as mine since he was 2, he is 17 now, I forget he is adopted most of the time. To me it does not matter. Anyway he has problems with his heart, again to him it is the biggest problem to worry about. We have been to Dr's for years trying to deal with his problems. For a number of years it stopped, worked fine, never missed a beat, Now he is allways tired, looks like a 50 year old, cant do much of anything with his friends, He deals with it great.
So now that I have gone on about the problems I "chat about to much" I want to know does it really bother you folks? For me at times it is just a way to unwind, talking about it helps me relax and to be honest "seeing it written down" sometimes helps me get ideas as to what to try or just what to ask the next DR.
If you do not want to reply on here send me an PM I will keep anything you have to say to myself. One of the few things I have left is my word of honor and nothing in my messed up body will take that from me.
Thanks for your time, David.

No, Dave. As a matter of fact I find your posts useful in putting my own problems into perspective.
+1.
I find your posts inspirational. We sometimes take for granted our health, the health of our family (I too have an 8 year old daughter, so I know how you must feel) and focus so much energy on making money, buying more toys/guns, thus forgetting what really matters in life.
You are a brave man and a great father. Keep up the fight. I wish you and your family the best.
When I get home from work today, I'm going to give my daughter a really big hug and thank the lord for blessing me.
Thanks for putting life in perspective.0 -
Dave, we all have problems to varying degrees. Some of us have heavier loads than others. Some of us try to lighten up each other's load, even if it's just a little. Evidently some of us try to add a little to the load. I wouldn't worry too much about what one dumb ass said in an eMail. She's probably a blond anyway. 0 -
Glad your here Dave.[8D] 0 -
One of the reasons I still drop in (very) occasionally is that absolutely nothing
on a net forum is of any real concern to me. What we have on the net, and in
life, is the 'human condition' ... and sometimes it's better than we expect -
sometimes worse. ... rarely does it matter much to strangers ... and there ain't
nobody stranger than most of the folks around here. ... it's just part of the
'human condition' - inclusively of yours truly, of course.[:D]
... and most of the more clever posts are a hoot![:D]0 -
Not at all EhlerDave. Best of luck to you and your family. -[:)][:)]- 0 -

Post away Dave. Your posts are usually one of the ones I am sure to click on. 0 -
I usually see your posts on the archery side and have never had aproblem with any of your posts, TELL HER TO STUFF IT ! 0 -
As stated, tell her where to go, and that its none of her buisness if she doesnt want to read it. I dont have a problem with people venting - its natural, something you have to do. We are all a BIIIG family here (with exceptions to like. 2 people i dont like who arent even here any more). ANYONE here is welcomed to email me with anything they have to say, i dont care what it is, Im not the kind of person to just rant thing off and say "Oh well."
If you wanna talk, feel free to email me, i dont have the least bit of worries about your postings.

I'm sure Dave can supply more, but here's what a google search
turned up. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=SUNA,SUNA:2006-34,SUNA:en&q=Ehler-Danlos+syndrome0 -
45 replies with 44.5 affirmative (for your side Dave). I think zipperzap said something, I just can't figure out what it was. It might be 45 out of 45. [:D]
I guess this makes it 46.0 -
I like you just the way you are, I never knew until now that you had a health problem.
Please tell the e-mail busy-body that Bruce said to go clean the kitchen and mind her own business.

I'm really sorry to hear that someone could be that petty, selfish, and arrogant to email something like that too you. We all have problems, some of us have work problems, some have family problems, and others of us do have medical problems. I think we all talk about things here just to get it off our chests from time to time, and I think you and everyone here should continue to do so. 0 -
dave, you and i have probalbly shared 6 sentences since i first logged on and i have read many of your posts. you are a special man with a special family and that makes you one of the strongest people i have ever met. i beleive that this woman may be jealous in the sense that she has nothing in her life to get her the attention she sorely craves, also she may have just seen her therapy bill and saw that what she just paid over a grand for you get for free here.[:D] 0 -
Dave,anytime you post I'll read it.God Bless you and your family.[^] 0 -
Dave - Just tell her that as you slide down the banister of life, you will always remember her as a splinter in your A$$ . 0 -
sometimes people need to rant, or talk about our problems. Sometimes the people that we love hear it to much, and isn't enough. So if you need to talk. Just rip away. [:)] 0 -
Post away Dave.
This woman is just one more example of how our society has turned into a bunch of selfish, childish, weenies.
Waaaaa, your problems are better than mine, therefore I am offended that I don't get all the attention!0 -
