Please use more than a comma as subject..
on second thought....
I'll leave it be.
--Saxonpig....thanks for editing my subject line. Because it absolutely distresses me that I managed to offend a moderator by using a (GASP!) comma as a subject line. Next time, though, do you think you could edit my subject line to use standard punctuation, rather than putting two periods at the end of the sentence? It makes me really squeamish to see...I'm just not sure if it's supposed to be a period or an ellipsis.
C'mon, man, what the hell is the problem here?
This is a request that came directly from the owner of the site. He wants the forum to look nice for when potential customers visit and he doesn't like the aesthetics of using punctuation for subject headings (among other things). Sorry if this is a major concern in your life.

On another forum I frequent, it's the rule that you can only post your signature once per thread. Either that or the system automatically turns off your sig for the remainder of the thread. Something like that. I don't know. Too early in the morning for me to really care. 0 -

Some forum members' signatures are long and take up 2/3 of the screen. That's all.0 -

I went on a rampage, posted an inflammatory post and then thought better of it. I'd have deleted it outright, but callktulu had already responded, which precluded my option to delete the thread.
So.......I decided to leave something alone that I never should have touched in the first place.
ahhh....screw it. I was bitching about the length of some of the taglines on this board.
It's a lot less interesting than one might hope, no?0 -

I heard one time that doing that is some kind of inferiority complex suffered by the person, can't remember where I heard it thought. They need to look important but really aren't.... You get my drift0 -

Thanks, callktulu. That was decent, discreet, and honest.0 -
I wasn't trying to step on your internet toes. I was just trying to boost my post count.
Oh look, I did it again![:D]0 -

lol....I'm sure you can think of a way to to do it one or two more times off of this post.0 -
Nah, that would just be rude and blatantly dishonest.
Oh wait, too late![:o)]0 -
spurge...
If you log in, and go to your profile, there is a place where you check a box to turn off signatures and pics when viewing the forum...YOu have to be signed in before that happens though and its rather a pain in the butt when two or more share comp and view the same forum...
I turned off sigs a few months back....Only time I see them now is when I am logged out ....
Its on the right hand side, bottom when you are doing your profile...I cant remember exactly what it says, but there is a box to click on yes or no...
Just checked on it...right under where you put the url (link) for your own signature, there are 2 boxes...One says View signatures in posts, then a box with Yes or NO in it....just click on NO..
View Signatures
in Posts?: No
The above was taken off my profile, once you click on NO, hit submit, and you will no longer see signatures in the posts, including your own...0 -

blackroses,
THANK YOU. That has to be the best tip of the year. Signatures are a waste of space and time. But to each their own.0 -
I just turned off everyones tag-lines..[:D]

Personally I prefer to see three screens if inane photos and quoted drivel. Well, maybe not, but at least I boosted my post count too. 0 -

Someone on this forum told me about being able to turn signatures off. This was several months and I have never turned them back on. It is so much faster than having to read thru the drivel. Don't even get to read mine either. Tom 0 -
I strongly vote against saxon as a moderator, but, what do i know.

Obviously you don't know that you don't get a vote.
Isn't it your nap time?
