One of our members right here, goes by MVP. I Have seen some of his handywork. Great at carving initials sideways into trigger plates. I believe he is also doing some woodburning.

These were all done by hand and chisel and are truly family heirlooms. The first is antique scroll on a 410 Browning Citori. The others are scenes from South Tx where I grew up on a 28 Browning Citori. Unfortunatly there is some pitting on the 28 guage. I want to find someone that can get that out and add some of my own customization to my guns that I will pass down to my son.. Can you pick out My Dad's initials on the last pic.. LJW

Maybe it would be possible to ironplate it and reblue...
Possibly copperplating first to build up thicknes and then the above.

I know he will reccomend a dremel, so I think you should get a second opinion.

Some folks don't like any engraving at all. I like good work and I like this S&W Model 10 that my wife had done up for me for my 50th birthday. The stocks are elk stag that I fitted, shaped and installed the medallions after buying the rough blanks.

The engraver was Michael Gouse and his website is www.mtart.com . The cost for this work was $500 and the turn-around was 6 months.

Here's another showing the stocks as they looked before I reworked them and the El Paso Saddlery rig (belt, holster and double speed loader pouch all floral carved).
