Funeral For Local Soldier Today
Today, across the street from my house was the memorial service for the army soldier who was reported captured/missing and then found dead in Iraq. There was a huge turnout from the community and lots of news coverage. The Patriot Guard was there too. It was very moving. When I left and drove back to my house I passed a little league field where a team was practicing. Kids about 12 years old. Many of them had their fathers and mothers there with them. I couldnt help but think that a local army soldier from America wouldnt have been killed if fathers in Iraq just spent a little more time loving their kids and playing baseball with them instead of preaching hate and practicing death.
I wish that the next time some terrorists blow up an American convoy in Iraq that fathers, instead of taking their kids to the scene to throw rocks at the burning vehicle of dead American soldiers, would rather just take their kid aside and say "son, lets go do something together and enjoy this time on earth and our time together"

sad day ....bravo patriot guard....the real problem to come is not kids throwing rocks but when they start carrying bombs...don't put ideal american values on these hate filled animals that raise & school children this way...there can be only one solution to this kind of programming..and we will have to eliminate PC fuzzy thinking & action to resolve it 0
