Standard car doors and auto glass is no where near bullet proof. I'd think that what ever you normally carry would be sufficient.

That's what I was thinking. He said that the hollows will expand and ricochet off the windshield if it doesn't hit at a 90 degree angle.

Normal ammo will do the job. Remember, you don't want to ride and shoot. All they have to do is run you down.

If you have to shoot, stop, take cover, aim and fire.

It's not that I'm being paranoid or even think that it would ever happen. I'm just wondering about the truth behind the article. JHP's vs FMJ's.

I agree with Hobbyguy on this as well, but if you are looking for options, carry a staggered magazine with (in order of fire) JHP, JHP, FMJ, JHP, JHP, FMJ etc.

I agree that you would very hard pressed to find a situtation where you're shooting was justified on the roadways. Maybe if you were stopped a light, maybe, but then you're on a bike, just drive away ...

Employing the use of deadly force, even when and where it's justified is always the last resort.

Have Tori ride on the back with an AR-15 and about 7 or 8 30 round mags.

I've been riding for most of my life, have owned more than two dozen BIG bikes (mostly Harleys) and I've belonged to three motorcycle clubs (yes, two were actually "gangs"). Although I've had many encounters with rouge drivers, I can't imagine justifying a shoot out. This sounds more like an ego thing (which will get you killed in very short order). Get yourself a faster bike, or ride with more humility. There shouldn't be any reason to worry about what kind of ammo to shoot at someone in a car with. [;)]

Either that - or you need a bigger gun....

(hey, at least it's an excuse to buy one more!)

Not sure but I think shooting somebody wiyh FMJ is not wise. Cus in court a self defence charge could become premedicated big time.

    HG....

I said I wasn't being paranoid or anything. I was trying to justify the article, which to me seemed a little ridiculous as well.

Obviously I will carry while on the motorcycle, as I carry everywhere. But the article got me wondering about the truth behind it.

Sling an AR over your shoulder and have a sawn-off shotgun strapped to your calves. That should be sufficient for any road ragers, zombies, Russian paratroopers, or zombie paratroopers who might get in your way.

This is why I suggest you carry a grenade launcher, or, if your state will allow it, a rocket launcher.

You can also ride and shoot with these, as when your targets flip in the air 30 feet and land on their roofs, you can keep riding without concern that they'll come after you.

An article on ammo selection for shooting at road ragers from your motorcycle? Sounds like the mall ninja found himself a job as a writer.

A fine example of another gun rag commando.
