Got tired of contacts - too much fussin' and fiddlin' - just like smoking a pipe.

    Glasses 24 hours a day.

But, my eye Dr. says I have cataracts, and after I have the surgery, I'll only need specs for reading.

20/20 uncorrected until I was about 42. Since then I wear glasses for reading and when using a computer.

20/20 right eye, about 20/25 left eye. A bit nearsighted on the left but the right compensates so I don't wear corrective lenses.

About 9 years ago, I found that my arms had gotten shorter, and I was unable to hold some print far enough away to focus, so I do use reading glasses for close work and reading small print.

Glasses for the past 50 or so years. Did use contacts for a few years, but they became too big a hassle.

I've worn glasses since I was 5 - probably needed them sooner but nobody knew. I've never worn contacts and I can't afford the surgery.

20/80 in right eye, 20/160 in left. Slight astigmatism in both. I got glasses but I hate wearing them. Ever see those dang floaters? I hate those little things.

20/20 perfect vision as a youth, now my reading glasses bcecome useless every year or so and I have to get a stronger set. My right eye is much worse than my left now, so much so that long distances appear blurry with it. I can't hit much without a scope or a shotgun anymore. [:I][xx(]

I have been wearing reading glasses for about 5 years for my good right eye.My left eye is kaput. Was riding in a car on Halloween in 1967 and took a face full of glass after the passenger side window was shot out by a drive by shooter.Spent 5 weeks in the hospital and went under the knife 3 times, but the Doctors could not fix it.I now have glaucoma in that eye.

    I am stuck with glasses.

I am blind as a bat without them.

I would like to get the surgery done but the VA will not cover it, but they will give me new glasses every year.

I did wear contacts for a while but now that I have to wear bifocals I am pretty well stuck with what I got.

    20/15 20/20

typically after you turn 40 your eyes change shape and reading glasses are needed eventually even with perfect vision, so i'm told
