Well first thanks to cartod for all the help and pointers..I owe ya a beer or two..Loko
this is a test..practice run..w/tru oil..[lol]

this is the 870 foreend just stripped..needs to be sanded and sanded some more..you wouldn't believe how rough these are under the thick clear factory finish..sheeesh! [V]

sanded and finish sanded w/1500#..then first coat of watco danish oil sat for an hour and wiped to dry..

Herrett grips for my colt trooper mk 111 .357mag two toned w/tru oil in the skip line checkering..and danish oil on the smooth parts of the grip.they look better in person..finished product.

alot of oil/wet sanding and filling the grain left to do on the 870 stocks..till they are a work of art..[lol] [:D]..Loko

hey any pointers on cleaning the dust out of the checkering..I have used two diff. bristle brushes on it and some dust remains and a stripper cleaner.for the residue etc..? Loko..wanted to do a 300.00 dollar gun first before I ruin something expensive.[:0]..A thread about wood..lmao..Loko 0 -
