I find that I have to walk a show floor three times.

1st trip through - buy anything that I need at a GREAT price. I will never pass up on a great deal (of something that I need) again.

2nd trip - buy the other items that I have on the list - common stuff.

3rd trip - start rooting around and looking at every table, but IN DEPTH.

I picked up a Forster Co Ax and a Redding BR powder measure with stand for $170 on the third trip at the last gunshow.

If I may ask how much are the primers going for at the show?
    Large and Small Pistol.

I wanted to get down there, but I just couldn't get loose right now to go. I needed some lead and there are a couple of vendors there with very good prices, but I was having way too much fun picking rock out of fields to spend time looking at guns right now.[:D]

Maybe I can make it to the August show, right before dove season.

It's still MUCH better than the Ft. Wayne show the last few years. I'm about done with that one, except maybe in the winter when I don't want to drive to Indy in the snow.

Winchester Small Standard was $23/1000 or $2.40/100

This was at a guy somewhere near the middle of the show.

Gunner's at Wabash had them for $18/1000 a couple of weeks ago. I bought a few bricks.

They may have been old stock, but they were the current issue.

But how was the jerky selection?
And the metal John Deere signs?

Not as good as the Fort Wayne show but there was one of each. They did have a candy shop which the last Fort Wayne show didn't have, that is how sad it was.

I talked to my daughter's boyfriend who went to the show yesterday, and he said it had been moved to the first building west of where it is normally held because of some other program going on at the Fair Grounds.

He also said it was in one room instead of the normal three rooms and was about half the normal size for some reason. He was unable to find out why it had been reduced, but it was not nearly as extensive as normal, and it has not been in gradual decline as has the Ft. Wayne show, so it may be back to normal in August.

There is a horse show going on also. I heard a dealer say something to someone on the phone about they got moved I didn't know at the time if he was talking about this show or something else.

I hope it gets a bigger room next time and that this show doesn't hurt them in the long run.

I wish now that I had said something to the people running it about it not being what I expected.

I've been to about 10 of these over the years. I really enjoyed the first few but after a while I had a problem with:

Unrealistic ammo prices. Just search GB.

Dealers? That were catering to the stupid buyers with hopes of making a sale.

How many corn dogs sellers, made in Taiwan trivia tables, fighting around idiots pushing baby strollers, and bubbas that can't keep there pants up do I have to put up with?

I loved this show years ago but it has turned into the dumptster. I'll try Tulsa this year.

I tried to go there several years ago, I was in town, we could not find the fairgrounds, so we went to hooters instead.[:p][:p]

You were probably on the right road Don, 38th St. Unfortunately you were on west 38th and the show is on east 38th.

Probably had a better time at Hooters anyway.
