Colt Government Model
Does anyone know if a Colt Government Model 1911 .45, stamped US property and made in 1915 is classified as a Curio & Relic? I've scanned the C&R list and could not find old Colt 1911 US Property listed.(I did see old Commerical 1911's on the list.) I'm asking because I know that the C&R list does not list all firearms considered curios and relics.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, C&R Military weapon over 50. 0 -
Any gun over 50 years of age is automatically C&R EXCEPT for military rifles which according to the ATF have no collector interest unless they are complete guns in original configuration.
That list is for guns not automatically C&R that have been added specifically. many people make the mistake of thinking the list has all eligible guns but it's only partial and only for those added before they turned 50.0
