You have to be an idiot to think they are going to "leave" and not come back. When people in southern Mexico and Central America are making more than $10 per DAY, they'll stop coming here. Until then, they won't.

In the Dems debate in Spanish they said the first thing they would do if they got in would be work on Immigration and that means here they come. I'm tired of my taxes raising just to help the illegals, Mexico's President is exporting over 22 % of their work force to the US for us to support.
Over 89 Billion a year in all Social services it cost the American Taxpayer and it has depressed US wages over 200 Billion.[:(][xx(][V][:(!]0 -

I don't think it would take 5 years with what you propose. Maybe 3. We sure would be saving alot of tax dollars. Enough to fund another war.0 -

If a child is born here to illegals, he/she is NOT automatically a US citizen.

I personally don't think it would take 5 years either but I just picked a conservative number. I do know though that it would create a whole new industry, a man could make a pretty good living at $500 a pop. Over the long haul it would save the government billions.

Some suggestions;
1. Undercover investigation of who is hiring illegals. Get the IRS to audit them. If guilty confiscate all their property for non payment of taxes. Put it on the news. The old illegal hiring business owners now bankrupt will be soon replaced by new business owners that are well aware that they could be next if they hire illegals.
2. IF we need migrant workers then set up a legal way to do so. Make a list of terms to participate.Some terms could be; A. All taxes collected, because of their work, go to goverment of the workers. That goverment is responsible for all benefits. B. If a foreign worker commits a crime and is found guilty in the U.S. the foreign goverment agrees to put the worker in their jail as a condition that they are able to participate in the program. C. Agree not to participate in U.S. politics and policy making or any activity negative to U.S. goverment.
3. All illegals found to have disease would be guilty of a crime and would stay in jail until their sentence is served and they are free of disease.
4. All illegals found guilty of a crime given time for what they did, time for being illegal, and time for comitting a crime and also being illegally in the country.
5. All illegals have a DNA sample taken and put in the system. If a match is made to a crime make them PAY by going to jail.
6. Make prison wages scale to Mexico. Put them to work as they serve their time.0 -
Build a fence, maintain and patrol it.
Heavily fine employers that hire them.
Give them one year to sell out and get out.
Put a bounty on the ones that refuse to leave.
If Mexico had these people back on their side of the border the present goverment of Mexico would be overthrown in less that ten years.
Corruption gone in Mexico, and the goverment overthrown, a more business friendly capitalistic structure in place the Mexicans will stay in Mexico.0 -
Block the border as best you can. Realize that it took us 20+ years to get into this mess; it will take 20+ years to get out of it if we give it an honest try. Understand that you will not stop them all no matter what you do but if you can eventually drop the number coming over by 95% you've done a heck of a job. It just isn't going to happen overnight. We will need more border patrol people with greater latitude in the execution of their jobs. We must heavily fine companies knowingly hiring illegals. No more born here but your parents came here illegally so you get citizenship. No more free education or medical except in emergencies. A better worker/student visa program that somehow immediately goes after anyone that stays one second over their allotted time. I'm sure there are things I am leaving out but this would do for starters. 0 -

(and all the other taxes) as a full time worker since 02-01-62 - and still am. To think that some A.H. can sneek into this country and use my hospitals, schools, and other government (ME) funded resorces just frosts my a**.
We have enough low life, lazy, baby factory, bums of our own milking the system for any gov. assistance they can get. I know some of them. Sure, I know some folks really need the help - but the other 90% are my targets. We don't need another 10 million.
You guys have some good ideas that would work over time but I don't think there is a chance that the politicians will vote them into law. There will come a time where the middle class simply can't continue to support the load. It's not going to be pretty boys and I hope I'm not around to see it.

Do you honestly think Tyson Foods wants to employ Americans at $14 an hour + health insurance when they can employ Mexicans at $6 an hour + no benefits? Tyson Foods was convicted of actually ARRANGING to have illegals shipped up here.

The reason our leaders don't do that is because none of their rich buddies are losing money over it. On the contrary, they make more money whern all of us little people have to compete with illegals for what used to be middle class jobs that would get you a car and a house and a picket fence and a golden retriever.0 -

You want some of the above policies instated? Then you can not and must not elect people from the 2 parties.
Alright, the mexican makes five dollars an hour, but after all of the free govt. aid, he's making somewhere between 20 and 30 dollars an hour. All we are doing is allowing the federal govt., the WHOLE federal govt., dem/repub alike, to rape us, the middle class, and subsidize corporations. How nice for them.
Neither party is going to stop this, EVER! We need to get rid of them, starting with the president. RON PAUL! No matter what you say bad about him, he's still the best choice because he follows the Constitution. If we would have adhered to the Constitutions rules these many years, would we have this and/or many of our other problems? NO! Who is to blame? The 2 parties. Why continue electing them when they continue selling us to the highest bidder? IT'S INSANE!

No Mexican is making 5 bucks an hour!
They are competing for CLOSE to the same wages that are paid to legal workers.
Just no benefits, and a lot of tax "shenanigans" taking place.
Anybody that believes the Mexicans are working for less than minimum wage, needs to wake up!
Only exception might be in restaurants, and janitorial service,........construction industries, forget about it!

Not here Marc. I work construction. 5-7 bucks anh/50 bucks a day. The point was it is then increase with govt. freebies extorted from you and I via the IRS by our totally corrupted leaders. 0
