Truck Gun
I have been thinking about getting a truck gun to stash under the seat of my truck.
After looking around I have really been thinking the perfect truck gun would be the Draco pistol with a couple 30 round magazines loaded.
What do you think? Whats the perfect truck gun?

Hello, I'm hoping you can give me some ideas about getting a gun that I would keep in my truck full-time. I'm a CCW holder, so that's not an issue. I have most of my experience with revolvers, particularly .357s. Lately, I've been oogling .45 Colt single actions, like Ruger Blackhawk or Vaquero. Never had one of those before; only .44s, .357s and the occasional 9mm and .380. Should I follow my heart and get a nice 7-1/2 inch Vaquero or should I follow my training and just put one of my 6" .357s behind the back seat and call it good?
I live in Idaho, so moisture is not really a problem. And like I said, I practice mostly with .357 and .38 handloads.
Appreciate the comments.

What qualifies as a truck gun, in your opinion?
Which long gun make/model/caliber?
Which pistol make/model/caliber?
I like my single shot 16 ga. When I carry that in the window rack, I never have traffic trouble. Been thinking about what pistol I might let clunk around in there as well.0 -
if it aint my sig 40 its my ruger 357, blackhawk. i shoot 38's in it for practice. mine is blued the only time i take it out of the truck is in the winter time and early spring fall as the temperature swing is nearly 40 degrees. this causes the gun to sweet and if it aint hanging in mid air what ever it is laying one will cause it to rust quickly.
i would get what ever you are most comfortable with shooting. my blackhawk has a 9mm cylinder so i have the best of all three worlds.

I kept an S&W 66 in my truck and one in my car for years. Some young hooligans got into my car about a week and a half ago, but didn't take the Smith & Wesson. I decided not to push my luck and brought the guns into the house. Now I take them out with me each time. 0 -

A 7.5" stainless Blackhawk in .357 mag would work out real well for you. Or since it is a truck gun you could go with something like these:
