Hopefully, DC is about to get an attitude adjustment, courtesy U.S. Supreme court.

I heard some noise about the NRA fighting this. Is it in court now?

Some strong contenders; Mass, Conn, NJ, NY, Ca, Il.

all of those are very bad, but Illinois not only has f.o.i.d. card requirements, ccw is out of the question, no class 3 allowed, and with the current sb 1007 they will pull ahead of every state

Pennsylvania actually has THE worst 2nd Amendment record of ALL the states.

The State Police have a illegal database of firearm ownership that would put Mass & CA to shame.

Whenever ANY police officer in PA pulls you over....they know what you own.

Not even LAPD have that power.

Ohio does have a CCW law and is working on "castle doctrine" type law.

I'd vote Illinois...Land of the FOID card, no CCW for anyone and the constant crap from Daleyland (Chicago) to stip the law abiding citizens of the state of their rights. Instead of doing something about the problems in his own back yard, he thinks disarming all of the state will take care of his failed leadership.

In Illinois, you have to have the FOID just to buy ammo, right?
    Somewhere, George Orwell is crying.

Gotta show the FOID to buy ammo and if you want to even handle a firearm in a gun shop, you have to show it....

Bad news for you guys from Illinois. Did not know it was that bad. Sad how the Constitution is geographically upheld. The liberals are expert for creating the problem and then presenting themselves as the solution.

There is the mail order loophole in Illinois. I can buy ammo through mail order and not be asked to see my FOID card.

The Chicago Bear's Tank Johnson's big "crime" was having a Desert Eagle 50 Cal, and other firearms that he had bought in Arizona or some other state that he had lived. He did not have a FOID card and was called a criminal. The police got a search warrant and raided his house.

    Dallas Cowboys gain.

no you cannot buy ammo legally through the mail in Illinois even through another state without them having your f.o.i.d. card on file, get caught you both get prosecuted, there is NO LOOPHOLE

some small shops, and dealers may slide by unnoticed until they get cuaght, but the big dealers are not taking that chance

I was going to say NY...still has the AWB. However, pre AWB guns (by DOM) and pre AWB mags (by DOM) can still be purchased. No foid card. NICS check w/purchases. Mixed blessing.

As a whole, NY is very high on restrictions. However, if you would eliminate NYC, the remainder of the state has less restrictions than several other states. Go figure. Best, Joe

njretcop: Hey Charley, just maybe you are in a bad section up there
in the big City. Now down here in the burbs and woods it aint too bad.
Fact is I just had my son apply for 2 handgun permits (giving him 2 of my handguns as I am getting old and lazy) and no problems in the least.
Cost: $2.00 for each permit and no big delay. Its local or city politics that screw things up. Dont blame us for your big city screw ups. Granted, not the best laws but not the worst either.
