PROBLEM!!
At times I feel unsafe When im walking around what is legal for me to carry I dont have a CCW and I dont want to carry a gun. What is something legal that I can carry? A taser,pepperspray or mace foam what is the law on that?

On a more serious note: not sure what the legalities would be for

I have had several occasions to use pepper sray. It stops aggressive behavior IMMEDIATLY! Effects last several minutes - plenty of time to casually walk away. Works on people, works on dogs. Watch the wind, I've gotten myself too. Burns like H for 20 min 0 -
As the folks said- depends on where you are-some areas make possession of Mace, tear gas, or Pepper Spray a jail offense. Unloaded guns are treated as loaded guns everywhere I know of- and are only useful as a paperweight. However, even in NYC and DC, a FLASHLIGHT is still legal. Check Mag Lite, Kel-Lite, etc. The 5 D cell version is nice and bright. Touch on the heavy side, but I know you were only concerned with the brightness- right?[:p] 0 -

in UT you can carrey a gun and still be leagel IF it takes two auctions to fire.
I cant' find the flash light but i think its a m3, it so bright it will blind some one for a short time0 -
whatever you carry, it's for getting you out of trouble. if you think you might have some problems, odds are it wasn't a good idea to go there in the first place. 0 -

Ok, a practical answer..I heard somewhere that you have knee problems...I think you need a cane. I don't think they're illegal anywhere, and they can be wicked in the right hands. 0 -
Definitely a knife, any good quality clip-folder is good, and depending on where you are and what the law says, carry a medium length collapsible baton. I gave one to my wife for when she goes out for a walk. 0 -

OK, you're in FL, if you're 21 and have a clean record get a Concealed Carry. If you can't get a hickory walking staff and find a Certified Baton Trainer. Any police dept can refer you to one. He can show you how to kick ass with it.
In my humble opinion it's everyone's duty to carry (legally) If every eligible person carried just imagine what it would do to the bad guys. They will take a 50/50 chance of getting blasted if they attempt to screw with someone. Not good odds. Maybe crime would go down. If they screw with me, my wife, two sons and daughter in law they will regret it! We all carry legally and know how to use our handguns. I'm taking the finals for NRA Handgun Instructor next month and plan to offer FREE classes to anyone who wants to learn to shoot safely. I've got a list of gun shops who are willing to sponsor.0 -
