Senator Spector at it again Amnesty
Alert! Senator Specter wants to remove fugitive status of illegal aliens with amnesty-lite bill!
Senator Specter (R-PA) is planning to introduce an immigration bill that contains most of the elements of the recent, failed "comprehensive" bill, but instead of immediately offering an automatic path to citizenship to illegal aliens, it would "just eliminate their fugitive status."
Specter hopes he can escape the charge of "amnesty" that he thinks killed the last bill. Of course, this bill still provides an amnesty. Those who entered our country illegally would incur no penalty and be allowed to stay. Specter said, "whether a person is categorized as a permanent legal resident or some other category, as a matter of nomenclature it can be worked out."
The other major change is that Specter's bill would leave intact the family reunification standard that the defunct immigration bill would have replaced with a skills-based system.
Specter is calling his current effort a study bill. The Senate may be too bruised to tackle another comprehensive bill, but Specter has said, "I believe it is possible to enact comprehensive immigration reform in this Congress, perhaps even in this calendar year."

That SOB never gives up taking from Americans. Be it taxes, privacy or diluting the meaning of citizenship. You can count on good old Specter being on the side that screws us again. 0 -

I dont see this Senator giving amnesty to the Border Patrolmen that did their jobs in trying to halt border jumpers/ drug smugglers. So why worry about ANYTHING for Illegals. A ill-eagle is a sick bird. So are
Illegals who laugh at our laws and cost us billions each year. Those Illegals remind me of sea gulls--- protected by the Govt., scream loud,
and cr*p all over us.0
