Butler Creek 10/22 magnum barrel

I have a Butler Creek .17HMR barrel and stock and I have been looking for a donor receiver from a 10/22 magnum. Very hard to find. I did find a Ruger 96/22 yesterday at the show. Will the barrel and stock fit this one?

  A standard .22 will not allow interchange.
  
  The 10/22 Magnum was discontinued by Ruger...for what reason, they will not say. I attempted to buy another a while back...and they seem to be nearly non-existant...or 600 bucks.
  
  My converted Magnum shoots like a house afire.

  I understand the difference between the magnum and the standard. My question was about the 10/22 mangnum and the 96/22 magnum. Are the barrels and stocks interchangable?

  Note how cleverly I avoided answering that question..even tho you did not add "96/22 magnum....
  Because I did not know the answer.[:D]
