better read the FEDERAL regulations about selling
Huh?! What are you talking about Eric? I do not personally need to be an FFL holder. I sell firearms on a very regular basis for profit (at least most of the time) and legally transfer them through my local dealer. I'm a law abiding citizen that does things by the book. Always have, always will. from the stiffed again thread

So your saying I would be breaking the law if............I bought 15 or 20 guns from a individual for around 7k. Then turned around and sold them on gunbroker for a total of 15k making a 8k profit? 0 -
What if I only sold 5 guns making my 7k back and kept the other 15 guns? Is this still illegal? 0 -
The federal law says that you need an FFL if you are "engaged in the business" and I suspect that admitting that you buy and sell guns for profit would constitute being "engaged in the business" as far as the ATF is concerned. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think that transferring all guns through an FFL would matter to them.
You are certainly not the only unlicensed gun dealer in the country but I wouldn't go admitting it in public if I were doing it.0 -

[8D]-Just a note of caution, Smartalec/degrading/hateful comments are run of the mill--
----BUT, do not feel that the BATFE/FEDS/HOMELAND SECURITY has NOTHING better to do than MONITOR Gun Forums DAILY-There are "groups" that do just that and they can trace, thru your REGISTER profile and (???) all the way back to your GREAT/G/G/G family history--
--Inocent questions are pretty safe, but blatent "questionable" practices can cause YOU a lot of trouble-be smart--

I agree, according to ATF Publication 5300.4. the Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide, "The term "dealer" means (A)any person engaged in the business of selling firearms at wholesale or retail, person who devotes time, attention, and labor to dealing in firearms as a regular course of trade or business with the principle objective of livelihood and profit through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms" you are acting as a dealer in firearms. If you are unlicensed, you are committing a felony.

Another decent American..operating under the delusion that he lives in a free country.
You best delete the references to selling...and STOP DOING IT.
You by damn better obey the laws...until its time to NOT obey them any longer...and that time ain't now.0
