  I got one of those rifles when I was 12..traded a .303 British that kicked the dog-stuffing out of me.
  No magazine..shot it single shot.
  
  Took a bunch of deer with it before I was 14..never lost a wounded deer.
  
  100 grain bullet just loafing along..but you put it where it belongs and you got some mighty good eating.
