Revocable Trust
Fellow at the gun range was setting up a .300 Whisper..fired one shot without can...one with.
Jeepers creepers..the impact of that 240 grain slug hitting the backstop was louder then the report.
Anyho...he mentioned that he got the permit for the can in 5 weeks..in the form of a "Revocable Trust"..no fingerprints, no local/state forms needed at all.
Anybody done this ?
My first reaction was "Scam..quick trip to jail" .
He showed me the Batf paper..looked at a quick glance to be identical to others I have seen.
I took a Ruger 77/22 that I converted to .17 Mach 11..Green Mountain barrel, fluted.
Scope was Redfield 2x7..duplex. Not exactly benchrest.
Shot several .500 3 shoters at 100 yards... dropped back to 50 yards. the 3-shot group measured .300.
Wind was gusting to 10 mph. A-freaking amazing, that little round...
You can buy accuracy today for not a heck of a lot of money. I got the barrel ay Cabelas,Kansas City, for 85 bucks in the close-out shack.....

Go to this link. Long discussion...but tells how to buy a revocable trust program for your computer, and how to fill it out. Then you're good to go. It's "instant lawyer in a can". Best, Joe

Highball, check out Givette's link...very informative.
I know a few guys who have done this w/no problems...perfectly legal.
They've purchased suppressors, SBRs and a full auto Mini 14.
I posted a similar question last month. Here is the link:

Well, well...Dolfan, I missed that thread...thanks.
Givette; Thanks for the link...I will go gather information. I really don't think I need a silencer..the only reason I can think of is that the authoriries hate them...[:D]
Just was wondering about them relaxing the laws. It appears that perhaps it is more a 'business friendly' move...since our government appears to be driven by business interests.0
