I put one on layaway and i think it is the officer model (not sure i have to double check). But what is the difference between the officer and the regular one?

So I bought this gun maybe 4 years ago. I was going to use it as a carry gun. But there was a problem with the gun when I went to the gun range to break it in. The last round or so it would jam (bullet facing down and primer up). So I ran box after box through it, and finally gave up on it and planed to sale it. Well a friend and I went to the range and I brought it with me and said what the heck. To my surprise no hiccups at all. Not a one. I tried federal and some cheap range ammo and it ate it all. I want to carry it but I don't know, guess I'll take it back to the range and see what happens again. It's just one of those weird things. 0 -
I purchased one about 7 months ago and I can't say enough good things about it. I only had one jam with it and it was a handload of mine that may have been fouled up. Last night I went to the range and for some reason this gun was shooting more accurate than it has in the past. I let my brother squeeze a few off out of it and I noticed I could see the bullet going down range. I am using 230 grain Federal, and also handloading 185 and 200 grain. Now my question, is this normal? Since it has a 3inch barrel it is not building up as much pressure as much as a 5inch but is there a certain load that I can use to reverse this? I use this as a CCW and want to find a load that I am happy with at the range and for protection. Thanks 0 -
does anybody know how to adjust the sights on a colt defender 45 acp.
I took it out shooting today for the first time and I was hitting very low (about 18 inches lower at 20 yrds)0 -
wanna say that little nut/screw thing for height on the back sight. not sure which way, give me a minute and I'll look in the book. 0 -
this is at 50yrds for the Accro rear sight but should be the same since its in the book that came with my defender brand new, one click of the elevation screw to the right (clockwise) will move the sight down and the point of bullet impact will be 3/4in down
so basically do the opposite if your hitting low0 -

yes it is, its even bettter for carry, light wieght and slim so it sticks to the waist good. 0 -
