I think $400 is too much.

You must not know much about the EAA Witness pistol line! They are very, very well made. One of the best "bangs for the buck" out there today.

I think they are a helluva lotta bang for the buck.

They especially appeal to me because they can be carried in Condition One - note the frame mounted safety lever.

I think that if you did some waiting and serious shopping, you could find one for around $350, though.

A CZ97 clone, if they are anything like the TA-90 I had (CZ75 clone from Tanfoglio) then they are great. Almost got one instead of my RIA 1911, but I couldn't find one locally ot hold and I have small hands, so it was important to be able to hold one. Great thing about them is that you can get the one pistol and convert back-n-forth to 22, 9mm, 40, 357sig, 10mm, and 45.

Note that while I was researching the polymer framed ones were decidedly sucky...

I have the full size Witness 10mm and I love it, just a little expensive to shoot. Mine is not junk by any means and will out shoot
    higher priced guns.[:D][:D][:D][^]

They are great guns. I have a full size 38 super and a 10mm and they are very accurate and feed superbly.

I have a full sized .40 in that finish and it will outshoot just about any stock handgun out there. Witness makes a good piece. I own two (other is a .45) and plan to get a 10mm someday. One of the best gun for the money deals out there today.
