Was it? I figured it might be. I have to say that I would have rather seen "Hugh Jackman" (Wolverine, Van Helsing) in that role. I have never been much of a "Will Smith" fan. I thought his role as Jim West was a mockery. He is not bad at comedy and he should stick to it in my opinion.
In fact, I must be really old school, because when someone asks if I am familiar with the actor named "Will Smith". I always reply, oh yea! He played a Texas Ranger on the old TV series "LAREDO". Later he fought Clint Eastwood in one of those "Everywhich way but loose" movies. If they are under 40-45 years old they usualy just leave me alone after that. (lol)

Doug, I saw this loser Sunday night and what a bag of garbage. No rime nor reason to this POS. Too dam bad he did not die instead of the dog. One question: The island was quaranteened or cut off from the rest of the world, how did that woman and kid get there to him and then to Vermont? And then at start of the movie about the deer running around and then the lions?? What the heck was that all about?? I'm so confused! Tom
PS Why was he deer hunting with a 223? If that is what it was. T0 -

Quite honestly Heston is much closer to what I imagined Robert Neville would be than either Vincent Price (The Last Man On Earth) or Will Smith. My wife felt that perhaps Dennis Quaid would have been a good choice in the lead role. My bottom line is that the movie was not scarey, or at least not much. I think that going for PG-13 rather than R meant eliminating anything really terrifying (like eating people or horrific looking zombies) and what is the point of a horror film if you are not squirming in your seat and then scared ****less whenever you see the monster(s)? My all time favorite sci-fi/horror film is Alien, mostly because that critter looked downright frightening! 0 -

The scariest movie of all time is by far "IT". And, that was made for TV.0 -
A failure on every level.
I thought it was a comedy, after awhile...brainy scientist/military guy can't figure out how to kill a deer for meat...with hundreds of them gamboling about.
Well trained dog..completely aware of the zombies..runs into dark subway.
Girl apearing by "POOF" JUST in the nick of time...0
