Maybe it's for trick shooting when standing on your head! [:D]

    Why would a RUGER be displayed on a S & W pin?

No, it's a real photo from a current auction.

Grips are fine. The Security-Six came with two different grip frame profiles. The early one has more slope to the grip, and the frame was changed early in production, so you can't easily find aftermarket grips for the early frame. The arrow points to what looks like a reflection of light. I don't get it.

Looks like the store just has a bunch of those doo-hickies that stand the gun up for display.....and they have S&W on them. They probobly don't think about it much because they have been doing it for a long time. I bet there is a written tag in the counter with the details (including Ruger's name and model) along with a much lower price than they sell on line for and that is why that was removed for the pic. I also bet that they haven't sold a lot of guns on line so don't realize how confusing it makes things up for auction to have strange items in the pics.

I wonder if that is a Springfield Micro Compact to the left and under the Ruger on the second shelf?

My Webley-Vickers .50-80 fully automatic revolver has one! It's what makes the revolver's unique sound as it cycles, "Ta-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa."

I don't see any arrow, sure that is not your cursor?[}:)]

The blue plastic disk posterior to the cylinder should be under the hammer, but I see nothing else wrong.

David, you are spot on. Hammer and trigger are not blued. My grips are a little different and I recently bought them on the internet to replace the Packmayer which were on it. I just like wood on my guns. Tom

It looks like the gun is shootable with the trigger lock attached the way it is.

I don't use them so not sure, but it sure looks that way.
