Passage of the new bill will result in a march on Washington perhaps?...

Depending on the actual outcome of how it will affect the vets with PTSD and other mental disabilities, do you think it might cause the vets to march on Washington?..

Do you think the person(s) who drafted the bill knew what was going to come out of it and how it would affect the vets?...

    I was at one back in 94 (the only one), the turn out was abysmal, the only gun rights group to show up was Aaron Zelman from JFPO, IIRC they put the number a 10K....
    The NRA was Mute about it........

    At the time, My feelings ran much hotter...I thought the march OUGHT to have been Linda Thompsons idea of a march.

    Of course they knew!

    They put it specific in the bill for the VA to turn over the records!

    There was a lot of discussion at the time about Linda's comments torpedoing the rally, and the NRA's silence about it was no help either.
    I have some pics I took around here, maybe I can dig them up and scan a few to post...........

    A march? Hell Beth most gun owners I know won't even get off their lazy asses and vote. Gun owners for the most part are the reason for the gun laws we have now and if guns are outlawed it will be the gun owners fault. Why? Because the majority just get on forums like this and brag about what they will do if the big bad government tries to take their guns. 99% are not smart enough to realize they ARE the government and the only way to keep our guns is with our vote and getting others to do likewise. The people WE voted in are the ones making the laws right now. The people who make the future laws will be the people WE vote into office. Also I see a few bad mouthing the NRA and some other gun rights organizations. Ever hear about a Trojan horse?

    Maybe the people that this bill will help, will organize a victory march on Washington.


    "The bill also will allow for individuals who are now unfairly prohibited from owning guns to appeal their prohibition and have their Second Amendment rights restored. This is currently not possible, and tens of thousands of Americans of sound mind, including many veterans, are permanently barred without due process from possessing firearms."

    Rosie Rosie you are so right and they blame everyone but their lazy butts for this bill.Were beuing over run because everyone has something else to do while we go down without a fight.

    Illegals and gun grabs are what the Dems are famous for and yet everyone blames everyone else.
    The longer we set the more we lose, I have called the President and emailed him and my senators and asked where they were when the 10 voted the bill in.

    You remember...don't you ? the guy that said that he 'Supports the Second Amendment"..and "We are going to enforce all federal gun laws"...Remember that ?
    If you see nothing wrong with those back-to-back statements...go look in the mirror and see the REAL reason we have 20'000 +++ gun laws...not the canard postulated above.

    You people supporting politicians and organizations that lie down with rabid dogs have learned to not complain about fleas. Sort of a symbiotic existance, I guess...you feel lonely if somebody you w horeship isn't selling you down the river.
