Internet Service Question?

We finally have decided to get rid of dial up and we chose Embark. Or I did my wife seldom uses the internet. It will take about 3 days for the equipment to arrive. Is this the fastest internet service or is there a better one?

  If it's some sort of broadband service it's definitely going to be faster than dial-up but you should understand the basics especially if some sort of contract is involved.

  Thanks for the reply and info, Embark bought out Sprint Telephone Service. I hopw they didnt shoot me a line . if so I'll cancel. We have Dish and no cable so I guess it would be our best choice.

  It's actually 'Embarq', with a 'q', and they took over Sprint, like you said. It sounds like you are getting DSL. Without cable service, DSL is probably your best bet. Prices and speeds for cable, DSL and broadband wireless are usually pretty close. You will LOVE the speed difference between dial-up and DSL.
